Natasha Rock
Je n’ai d’yeux que pour toi
Natasha Rock is a visual artist whose practice explores materiality, repetition, and time. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Victorian College of the Arts at the University of Melbourne (Australia) as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She also studied at the Queensland College of Art at Griffith University in Brisbane (Australia). Her work has been exhibited in several international venues, including the Centrale Galerie Powerhouse in Montreal, VidéoFormes in France, and Antimatter in Canada. Initially focused on video, her work has shifted toward materiality over time.
For more than ten years, the artist has been developing a universe populated by thousands of ceramic and glass creatures. Guided by slowness, repetition, and the working of materials, her practice explores the connections between the individual and the collective, creating a world where each character contributes to a reflection on our shared humanity. For this exhibition, she presents an immersive installation composed of creatures, patchwork landscapes, and miniature scenes. By transforming the gallery space, she invites the public to explore a world where playfulness, strangeness, and wonder converge. Through these works, the artist creates a space for contemplation where time seems to stand still and where the diversity of forms reflects a shared human experience.
