OPENING ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14 AT 5:30 PM

Marianne Pon-Layus's exhibition Les petites filles te détestent (Little Girls Hate You) brings together six large-format horizontal canvases in which the artist represents herself embodying a variety of characters. From a feminist perspective, she questions the stereotypical feminine roles that are still too often present in cinema and the mass culture. Far from being passive or fragile, the protagonists are in the heat of the action and seem capable of brutality. Between naïveté and perversity, the little girls reveals a creaking universe, both attractive and repulsive.
