Arion Orchestre Baroque
An Introduction to baroque music
Since its creation in 1981 in Montréal, Arion stays connected to the creative energy of baroque composers, such as Bach and Vivaldi, playing their works employing that era’s instruments and rediscovering the brilliance of the original creators of these masterpieces. Thanks to the artistic vision of Claire Guimond, the orchestra is now a world-figure of ancient music and its instruments in Québec, Canada and the international scene.
In the context of the Pour l’art benefit event, Galerie B-312 is pleased to present a musical encounter with the Arion Orchestre Baroque.
The public is invited to discover the world of Arion Orchestre Baroque through a discussion with Claire Guimond, artistic director and flutist, accompanied by two musicians of the orchestra, Alexa Raine-Wright and Amanda Keesmaat. This event consists of a musical performance followed by an exchange with the public.
